PCTG是一种高透明的共聚聚酯塑料原料,是醇改性PCT的英文缩写,它是DMT与CHDM缩聚过程中加入一定量EG(乙二醇)而生产的共聚物。PCTG具有高透明度、良好的韧性和冲击强度、优异的低温韧性、高抗撕裂性及良好的加工性能、优异的耐化学性能。它具有很宽的加工范围,高机械强度和优异的韧性,比PET透明度高,光泽性好,容易印刷,并且具有环保优势。可采取传统的挤出、注塑、吹塑及吸塑等成型方法进行加工。广泛应用于板材、片材、高性能收缩膜、瓶用及异型材市场;可以用来生产玩具、家用器皿及医疗用品等,也可应用于食品、医药、化妆品包装等领域。 PCTG还可以与其它塑料共混,如与聚碳酸酯共混,或填充玻纤、云母等,以满足zui终产品所要求的特性。按照性能来说,PCTG将成为那些不要求聚碳酸酯的刚性和耐热性的用途的低成代替品,同时PCTG耐r-射线辐射的性能可使它应用于科研领域
