Silver streaks
This indicates the appearance of silver streaks on the surface of molded product along the direction of resin flow in the cavities. There are a lot of causes of this appearance, while the preventive measures listed below are actually effective.
(1) Pre-dry ACRYPET adequay.
(2) Set the cylinder temperature lower, while set the injection pressure higher.
(3) Set the injection speed faster.
(4) Set the number of screw rotation at plasticization smaller and modify the backpressure to the suitable one.
(5) For thin wall molding, set the mold temperature higher and the cylinder temperature lower.
(6) Eliminate the fluctuation of plasticization time.
(7) Enlarge the cross section of sprue, runner and gate, shorten the length of them to make the resin flow easier, and set the cylinder temperature lower.
