The 2097-V33PR5 is a single-axis servo drive that is part of the Kinetix 300 Ethernet I/P indexing servo drives. Being part of the Kinetix 300 drives, it contributes to overall cost-effectiveness as it may be installed in applications with lesser control axis. With the built-in Ethernet I/P interface, it supports modern connectivity to existing Ethernet I/P networks, enabling simplified integration.

The 2097-V34PR5 operates when provided with an external AC input voltage 480VAC, 3-phase. This drive has integrated Safe Torque-Off (STO). It has a continuous output current and power of 5.7 A and 2.0 kW respectively. For installation, the minimum installation clearance required by the 2097-V34PR5 are 3mm or 0.12 inches side clearances and 25 mm or 1.0 inches top and bottom clearance for airflow and installation. An extra 150 mm (6.0 in.) clearance must be added when the drive is installed next to noise sensitive device or equipment. Additional clearances are also required, depending on the accessories installed with the drive.

The embedded interfaces to the servo drive’s front panel are Ethernet communication port, Shunt resistor and DC bus (BC) connector, Motor feedback (MF) connector, I/O (IOD) connector, and Back-up power (BP) connector.

The Kinetix 300 Indexing Servo Drive uses a single standard communication network for fast and easy configuration, commissioning and startup. Using the 2097-V34PR5, an entire control solution can be integrated over EtherNet/IP. This includes HMI, I/O, Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) and motion. It also eliminates the need to add a dedicated Motion Control Network. The simplified network topography cuts down on panel layout requirements and overall system costs while maintaining excellent reliability and high-speed connectivity. The 2097-V34PR5 has the ability to execute 5 different indexing types and support as many as 32 indexes for position-control performance. This makes it ideal for building indexing tables, intermittent horizontal and vertical form/fill/seal machines, simple sleevers, case packers and erectors, feed and withdrawal equipment, tool changing machinery, and automatic assembly equipment. To increase productivity and safety, this Kinetix 300 servo drive comes with integrated safe torque-off functionality. This allows the safe and successful completion of troubleshooting and maintenance tasks without cutting off power from the entire machine. When the circuit is tripped, drive output can be disabled without danger. This results in shorter machine downtime and faster restart.
